Overview
On June 5, 2020 a mighty cosmic portal opened, awakening the truth in our hearts. All truth. The good, the bad, and the ugly. On that day a lunar eclipse in sidereal Scorpio helped reignite our battle against the kleshas in the form of injustice, inequity, hierarchy, homogeneity, and exclusion at every level in our collective consciousness; particularly in the United States. We were then compelled through the summer and fall to act on these and other truths we’ve seen unveiled since the 2017 Great American Eclipse.
Today’s solar eclipse takes place in the same Nakshatra of sidereal Scorpio as the July 5th eclipse and it too initiates. But it starts the closing this same intensely powerful portal that opened just six months ago. It is also the last new moon of a deeply profound 15-year transformation of our hopes, inspirations, beliefs, and teachings. Due to this and other rare planetary transits today’s eclipse and other eclipses from 2019-2021 will impact humanity for generations to come.
Today’s solar eclipse in Jyestha Nakshatra is symbolized by a powerful shield or protective sheath. The current cosmic conditions are urging us, now more than ever, to use our power or kundalini shakti for the greater good. Today’s current solar eclipse reminds us the only way we can achieve this is by turning inward for self-transformation and development. If not, we risk becoming intoxicated by power and poisoning those around us instead of using our power as a nectar to heal and protect others.
Over the next 30 days (one lunar cycle) we will be given great insight into how well we are embodying our truths and directing our power. Are we integrating them in a balanced manner? Are we living with integrity both intellectually and spiritually? Are we able to turn inward for guidance, faith, and resolution instead of endlessly searching externally? The coming answers to these questions are directly linked to how well we’ve been recently managing our psychological wounds or Granthis from this and past lifetimes.
There will be a strong desire to intellectualize our experiences during this lunar cycle since Mercury conjuncts today’s solar eclipse and is the rules the balance point to it. But our experiences this month will be without restraint or bounds, making them difficult to communicate. Making forms of self-expression that are non-verbal or abstract very favorable. It will anchor us to the material while allow free exploration of the mystical.
Neptune is positioned in a difficult placement to today’s solar eclipse. It is in a part of the sky that begins the reincarnation process. In this placement, Neptune is dissolving our attachments to the self we must leave behind. The aspects of ourselves that are dissolving are freeing us from that which will no longer be of service us in the coming new age. Neptune has been making space for our new Self for more than a decade and will continue to do so for another year. It won’t be easy around the solstice, but try not to fight it. Believe me resistance is futile.
Our ability to maintain an intellectual and spiritual power balance will be greatly tested as we pass through a stormy full moon in late December. This testing will continue into the first to first few months of 2021. But not to fear! These tests are simply to remind us that external searching turns inward when intellectual answers are not enough. While the internal and personal transformation occurring over the next 30-day may be challenging to navigate. Focusing on how much growth you’ve made in 2020 and the hints we can see of the brand new world emerging will be reassuring.
