On Monday, April 26, 2021 at 23:32 EDT the moon will become full in Swati Nakshatra. This full moon engulfs us in the bending winds of surrender, which are blowing – strengthening us to stand and fully bloom. Energetically, these winds are similar to kapalibhati pranayama. They will stimulate Agni to help us transform any undigested lessons into wisdom from the current lunar cycle that began with the new moon on April 12th.
Since this new moon we have been in a liminal space. A space between surrender and birth. In that un-awakened space, between that which has ceased and that which is yet to rise, we may feel we are waiting for our futures to be revealed and our potentials unleashed. During this full moon we are challenged to independently stand strong while simultaneously surrendering to the infinite.
The generational planet Pluto turns retrograde less than 24hrs after the full moon, which brings on an intense 6-month period of reflection. The core values of the institutions and structures our daily lives are built around and upon will be reviewed. We will be asking ourselves questions like: Are the ambitions I am protecting and working to materialize worth the resistance? What’s holding me back? What do I need to change to achieve these ambitions? And am I headed in the right direction for the long-term, next 15 years?
Our thoughts and emotions will be swinging toward questions such as these in the weeks leading up to the new moon. This line of contemplation will continue through the summer and into the fall. Adding to these feelings is eclipse season which officially starts with the next new moon. Rebirth is coming soon, but it will be an awkward transition. Full of surprises, unexpected twists, and gains will not occur without effort. The lessons we are learning now on how to better handle necessary endings is receiving the ultimate blessing of understanding how empowering sweet surrender can be when endings occur.
